G-Spot Web Blog Nominee

My 4-month old blog, (having a 287 average viewers every day) has been reviewed and nominated twice by highly venerated bloggers.

Last August, The Composed Gentleman recognized my Blog as a weekly finalist in his Filipino Blog Award week 69.

This time, Hush and Listen (Khalel) gave me a resounding credit as a monthly finalist in his G-Spot Web Blog Award. This made my smile fits across my face, since I never imagine to be contending with highly acclaimed bloggers like LowsHighsandAlibis 3.0, Simply Manila.

I created my blog from scratch when I envied Khalel’s blog. Yes, it was Khalel’s blog that stimulates my desire to unlock my life in public (although to some, my identity still remains obscured). Boredom and unoccupied at work allow me to visit my blog regularly at home and in my office.

Reyville of Simply Manila, High and Lows Alibis, and of course, Khalel were the first blogs that I read and still remain on top of my list.

I started from scratch….From being a neophyte, I feed my blog everyday (that’s right… everyday! except when my office server is down and unable to renew my DSL subscription at home,) with my past experiences, family, relationships and featured friends who shared same interest with my life.

There were times that I feel brain-drain. Neither I can write nor think. Basically, I couldn’t feature full nudity, homosexual activities and sex since “mudawins” (Arab terms for bloggers) are monitored by the government in Saudi Arabia and anytime, they can block the site. So I decided to feature relevant news (from an Arab newspaper), activities & shows, and literature.

As I visited the net regularly, I was able to smarten up my blog by adding some features like world map, visitors counter, video posting, slides, polls, etc.

I receive comments, mostly constructive and admiration for being too assiduous, from my fellow bloggers, and I am so grateful for that. There are also some who criticizes my grammar and composition, which I admit I couldn’t be clever as Khalel, Empress Maruja, ScarletMirage, etc.

I am so thankful to my regular blog visitors: Richard- the Adventurer of a Lionheart, Chase (Ham & Keso), Dazedblu. Hey guys, I never regret I added you to my fav list.

Well, Khalel has just made me realize that aside from being informative, blogging is also rewarding. Definitely, he is on my priority list and deserves a “hadiyah” when I got home….
